Andrea’s Gift is proud to work with twelve other UK brain tumour charities in the Brain Tumour Research Campaign (BTRC). The twelve charities collaborate and work together to improve the general standard of care for all brain tumour patients and support the ethos of sharing information and resources.
We also work with the International Brain Tumour Alliance, sharing information and support across the world.
An important and useful website has been created for high grade brain tumour patients. Please visit Brain Tumour Buddies it is a free resource and contains a forum, links and tons of relevant information.
Andrea's Gift is also working with a new Yorkshire based brain tumour charity.
Levi's Star was founded in memory of six year old Levi Ringer from Wakefield and aims to help and support children and their parents in dealing with a brain tumour diagnosis.
Brought together by their shared experiences:
Ali's Dream (North London and Northern Home Counties)
Andrea's Gift (Yorkshire)
Anna's Hope
Brainstrust (Hampshire)
Brain and Spine Foundation (National)
Brain Tumour Action (Scotland and Northern England)
Brain Tumour Research Campaign (London)
Brainwaves (Northern Ireland)
Charlie's Challenge (Sussex & Kent)
Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre (East Midlands)
Ellie Savage Memorial Trust (East Anglia)
Hammer Out (South West)
Jamie's Wish (West Sussex)
Levi's Star
The Diana Ford Trust (Buckinghamshire)
All the charities are rallying the support of MP's, organising fundraising activities up and down the country, and engaging their local press and radio stations to promote awareness.
We also support the BTRC Parliamentary lobbying group of charities that is working so hard to make brain tumour patients and charity rights heard. Organised by Sue Farrington Smith of Ali’s Dream and her MP John Bercow (Buckingham) have demonstrated what great progress can be achieved in a short space of time.
